The is the first animation/video type assigment I've attempted. The assignment was to create an animated video using only still images and Adobe Pemiere Pro's audio and intra- and inter-frame motion effects.

This video is really an initial entry into a short that might be better if it were 2 minutes longer than it is. The realism style I chose and the required methods of animation limited my ability to represent an act well in less than 40-60 seconds. Given that I had only 3 minutes, this limited how many acts I could include in may script, but my script really started with more than 3 acts.

This experience helped me see the big impact of early technical decisions on a final video product, and how important it is to find ways to communicate narrative and meaning with a pace that matches the aesthetic sense of the film. With this project, I found animation to be conceptually as well as technically challenging on many levels, with many opportunities for aesthetic expression!
